    MAKE YOURSELF PROUD!✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s my motto that I’m living by every single day. 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the past I was unconsciously trying to make other people proud, even if it didn’t necessarily make me happy. Everything changed when I switched my mindset from making others proud to making myself proud. 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because if you focus on making yourself proud, it’s more about what you want instead of doing what other people want/expect you to do. And it’s more about doing what makes you happy instead of what would make other people happy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Making yourself proud means leaving your comfort zone.
It means having the courage to speak up and put yourself out there.
But most of all it means doing things for you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And that’s all that counts.❤️
    🆘What to do when fears and doubts take over!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We all experience doubts and fears when we want to try something new or have a great idea. At first you’re excited, but then the emotions kick in. You’re not sure if you can do it, you doubt that you have what it takes, or you’re afraid to give it a try.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s what you can try:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💕Feel it and look at it with compassion and kindness towards yourself. Don’t get frustrated or angry at yourself for being afraid or doubting yourself. It’s okay that you feel this way, it’s human.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⛈Ask yourself: What’s the worst thing that could happen? You probably already have some worst case scenario’s in your head. Are they rational or irrational? How would you deal with it if your worst case scenario would come true? Thinking about it helps to rationalize your feelings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💬Talk about your fears and doubts. You can make your fears and doubts so big in your head. Talking about it helps to see how exaggerated your fears and doubts really are. It changes your perspective.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

    When was the last time you did something because y When was the last time you did something because you felt like someone else expected you to do it?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I think we all do it sometimes. But just because other people have certain expectations of you, doesn’t mean you should go out of your way to meet those expectations. Yes, you might disappoint people by doing what you really want to be doing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But is it really worth sacrificing your own dreams to keep other people happy?
    WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?⏰ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?⏰
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are a million reasons (or should I say excuses) not to do or start something. You’ve probably told yourself a couple of times that ‘it’s not the right time’ or you ‘just need to get this one thing right’ before you can start.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You wait until you’re ready and procrastinate on getting started because you’re scared, because you have doubts and because it’s not perfect yet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can wait as long as you want, but the perfect time will never come and you will never feel truly ready. So why wait any longer?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Begin despite your fears,
Begin despite your doubts,
Begin despite the imperfections.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ve waited long enough. It’s time for you to begin.✨
    Some of you already guessed it: we’re back home. Some of you already guessed it: we’re back home.🇳🇱 A little bit earlier than planned and very unexpected. We arrived about a week ago, but I really needed some time to process everything that happened in just a couple of days.🤯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can read all about the crazy 2 days we had to pack our suitcases, sell our stuff (I even sold a pack of toilet paper😅) and move out of our house in my new blogpost.

What’s next? Who knows... It’s still a surprise, but time will tell.✨
